INTELLIGENT MODULES

Intelligent Monitor Modules

FZM

NOTIFIER’s offers a variety of intelligent monitor modules for diverse applications. Monitor modules supervise a circuit of dry-contact input devices, such as conventional heat detectors and pull stations, or monitor and power a circuit of two-wire smoke detectors. Monitor modules model numbers include the FMM-1, FMM-101, FZM-1 and FDM-1.

Features & Benefits:

  • Built-in type identification automatically identifies this device as a monitor module to the control panel
  • SEMS screws with clamping plates for ease of wiring
  • Direct-dial entry of address: 01 – 159
  • LED indication for normal or off normal indication
  • Class A supervised wiring to the monitored device

FMM-1 Monitor ModuleFMM-101 Mini Monitor Module

  • Class B supervised wiring to the monitored device
  • Smaller size fits inside devices or junction boxes

FZM-1 Zone Interface Monitor Module

  • Transmits the status of one zone of 2-wire detectors to the fire alarm control panel
  • Status conditions are reported as normal, open, or alarm
  • Monitors two separate Class B circuits

Releasing Control Module

FCM-1

The FCM-1-REL Releasing Control Module uses a redundant protocol; the module must be armed with a pair of signals in order to activate. It will then enter a 3-second window awaiting a pair of confirmation signals. If no confirmation is received, the module will automatically reset. It also supervises the wiring to the connected load and reports the status to the panel as NORMAL, OPEN, or SHORT CIRCUIT. The module has two pairs of output termination points available for fault-tolerant wiring and a panel-controlled LED indicator. The module may be connected to either one 24VDC solenoid or up to two 12VDC solenoids (in series). To ensure proper operation, this module shall be connected to a compatible NOTIFIER system control panel only (list available from NOTIFIER). In addition, please refer to NOTIFIER Device Compatibility Document PN 15378 for the list of compatible solenoids.

Features & Benefits:

  • Redundant protocol for added protection
  • Configurable for Class A or Class B operation
  • External supply voltage monitoring
  • Can power one 24V or two 12V solenoids
  • SEMS screws for easing wiring
  • Panel controlled status LED
  • Analog communications
  • Rotary address switches
  • Low standby current
  • Mounts in standard 4″ (10.16 cm) junction box
  • FlashScan operation

Intelligent Control and Relay Modules

FCM-1, FRM-1

NOTIFIER’s intelligent addressable control module provides supervised monitoring of wiring to load devices that require an external power supply to operate, such as horns, strobes, or bells. It is capable of Class A and Class B supervision. The relay module allows the control panel to switch two isolated sets of Form C contacts on command without supervision for the notification appliance circuit.

Features:

  • SEMS screws for easing wiring
  • Panel controlled status LED
  • Analog communications
  • Rotary address switches
  • Low standby current
  • Mounts in standard 4˝ junction box

ISO-X Notifier, SLC Loop Isolator Module; Isolates Against

Short Circuits On The SLC.

ISO-X NOTIFIER

The ISO-X Notifier Fault Isolator Module is used with Notifier Onyx and CLIP series Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACPs) to protect the system against wire-to-wire short circuits on the SLC loops.

Features

  • Powered by the SLC loop directly, no external power required.
  • Base mounts on standard junction boxes (4.0″/10.16 cm square by 2.125″/5.398 cm deep).
  • Integral LED blinks to indicate normal conditions. Illuminates steady when short circuit condition is detected.
  • High noise (EMF/RFI) immunity.
  • The wide viewing angle of the LED.
  • SEMS screws with clamping plates for ease of wiring.
  • Opens SLC loop automatically on detection of short, preventing the short from causing failure of the entire loop.
  • Automatically resets on the correction of short.
  • Supports Style 4, 6, or 7 wirings.

LDM-320, LDME-320

  • Up to 12,500 feet (3,810 m) on a Class B (Style 4) SLC loop (twisted-unshielded)
  • Built-in degraded mode increases survivability
  • Very simple installation — plug-in style
  • Permits multiple loops in small enclosure
